At our eighth and final Let’s Talk Progress event we heard from Devin Cook from MIT’s Inclusive Innovation Challenge, about her work to identify, recognize and reward the innovators who are using technology for inclusion and shared prosperity. We learned how Devin and her team are encouraging the next wave of job creating and wage increasing innovation and entrepreneurship, and what we can do to prepare for the Future of Work.
About the Speaker: Devin Cook
Devin Cook is the Executive Producer of the Inclusive Innovation Challenge (IIC). Launched under Devin’s leadership at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, the IIC awards over $1.5 million to global technology-driven organizations that are reinventing the future of work and creating a more equitable economy in the digital age.
Devin is a Fulbright Scholar, whose research explored entrepreneurship as a driver of economic development among textile artisans in India. She is a Jurist for the INDEX: Award, the world’s largest design prize. Devin has worked at multiple start-ups and mentored over 100 start-up founders, as well as led international projects and seminars for Fortune 100 clients. She holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she was awarded the Ronald I. Heller Award for her contribution to entrepreneurship education on campus, and a BA from Middlebury College.
